  As a graduate of the International Institute of Marine Surveying's, Professional Qualification in Marine Surveying, Gerry Murray, Marine Surveyor specialises in composite (GRP), Carbon Fibre, Steel, and Aluminium yachts and small craft up to 24 metres LOA. This certification reflects formal training, practical experience, and adherence to recognised marine standards and best practice, enabling me to provide independent, technically robust surveys across pre-purchase, valuation, insurance, condition, damage, and compliance assessments. Clients can rely on clear reporting, impartial judgement, and a thorough understanding of modern yacht construction, materials, and regulatory requirements.

  Demonstrating our commitment to a structured quality management system and continuous improvement in marine surveying services we are actively working towards ISO 9001:2015 certification,. This process formalises how surveys are planned, conducted, documented, and reviewed, ensuring consistency, traceability, and client-focused outcomes across all assignments. Achieving ISO 9001:2015 will further reinforce transparency, accountability, and confidence in the quality and reliability of my survey reports and professional services.

  Reflecting a strong commitment to occupational health and safety in all marine surveying activities we are working towards ISO 45001:2018 certification, This certification framework formalises hazard identification, risk assessment, and safe working practices for surveys conducted afloat, ashore, and in boatyards, helping to protect clients, vessel crews, contractors, and ourselves. Achieving ISO 45001:2018 will further demonstrate a proactive, systematic approach to safety management and continuous improvement across all operations.
